Event Creation Questions
To create a Markit event, download the Markit App on the IOS Appstore or Google Play Store. With Markit, hosts can choose to set free RSVP's or paid ticketed events. You must connect Stripe to enable paid ticketing.
Event Management
Hosts can manage their events through the event dashboard, located in the Events Tab.
To manage your event you must download the Markit App on the IOS Appstore or Google Play Store.
Texting with Markit
Markit allows you to send 500 texts per month for free. To get more texts and features, start a Markit+ subscription.
Markit texting is directly integrated into the event creation/management process.
Data Security
We automatically collect attendee names and phone numbers for Hosts. This data is only available for the host alone. We do not sell or share attendee data with third parties.
Secure Payments
Markit charges 6% + $1.59 per ticket to every attendee that buys a ticket. This fee includes credit card fees. Event hosts do not pay this fee. Hosts must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts from their events.
